Just a few minutes' walk from the famous 19th-century grandeur of the Ringstraße, we welcome you to Hotel Boltzmann in an absolutely quiet and cozy atmosphere. Our house is located in the middle of Alsergrund, the 9th district of Vienna, an ideal starting point for impromptu explorations of the city's major sights or your business appointment in Vienna.

You can walk from Boltzmanngasse to the Vienna Ringstraße in five minutes, to the University of Vienna Faculty of Physics in one minute and to the Old AKH campus in 12 minutes. Stay

Our 70 rooms are characterized by comfort, spaciousness, and their modern line. Start your day energized with our extensive breakfast buffet and enjoy your morning coffee on our bamboo terrace in the quiet courtyard during the summer months.

We offer four room categories: single rooms, double rooms and queen-size rooms with or without balcony – see all rooms at a glance. The breakfast buffet is served Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 10:00 AM and on Sundays from 7:00 to 11:00 AM (more about breakfast). Children up to 12 years stay free of charge in their parents' room.

History

The hotel is named after Ludwig Boltzmann (1844-1906), a renowned Viennese physicist and philosopher. His life's work was putting thermodynamics on a new footing, in the course of which he founded statistical mechanics. Ludwig Boltzmann was one of the co-founders of the Austrian Mathematical Society in Vienna. His final resting place is in the Vienna Central Cemetery.
