GETTING HERE BY CAR

From the west:

The west motorway (A1) ends in Auhof (suburb of Vienna). Follow the B1 straight ahead as far as the Hietzinger Kai, then continue straight ahead along Schönbrunner Schlossstrasse; this then merges with Schönbrunner Strasse. Then keep straight ahead as far as the crossroads with the city ring road (known as and signposted as the "Gürtel"). Turn off left onto the Margaretengürtel, then follow the ring road until you come to the Volksoper [Opera House] (Währinger Gürtel) and there turn right into Währinger Strasse. Turn left into Boltzmanngasse at the 2nd traffic light, the Hotel Boltzmann is on the right-hand side of the street.

From the south:

From the A2, turn off into Triester Strasse and follow it all the way as far as the Matzleinsdorferplatz/Gürtel crossroads; here turn off left onto the Margaretengürtel, then follow the ring road until you come to the Volksoper [Opera House] (Währinger Gürtel) and there turn right into Währinger Strasse. Turn left into Boltzmanngasse at the 2nd traffic light, the Hotel Boltzmann is on the right-hand side of the street.

From the north:

Leave the A22 at the Nordbrücke exit. Follow the Donaukanal [Danube Canal] towards the town centre (= downstream) and drive along Heiligenstädter and Nußdorfer Lände as far as the crossroads with the Friedensbrücke/Alserbachstrasse. Turn off right here and follow the Nussdorferstrasse. At the next set of traffic lights (Aida pastry shop on the corner), turn left into Währinger Strasse. Turn left into Boltzmanngasse at the next traffic light, the Hotel Boltzmann is on the right-hand side of the street.

From the east:

Coming along the A4, follow Schüttelstrasse towards the city centre. Keep straight ahead along the same street, even though it changes names several times, until you come to Brigittenauer Lände. Before you get to the Friedensbrücke bridge, get into the left-hand lane and cross the Donaukanal [Danube Canal] on the Friedensbrücke bridge. Continue straight ahead along Alserbachstrasse, following the street until it becomes Nussdorferstrasse. At the next set of traffic lights (Aida pastry shop on the corner), turn left into Währinger Strasse. Turn left into Boltzmanngasse at the next traffic light, the Hotel Boltzmann is on the right-hand side of the street.

GETTING HERE BY TRAIN

From the west and south:

Take the Underground line 6 as far as Währinger Strasse / Volksoper, tram lines 40 or 41. The tram stop you want when travelling towards the town centre is "Nussdorferstrasse/Spitalgasse". Form there it is only 5 minute walking.

Alternatively you can also take tram line number 5/33 directly from Westbahnhof to "Nussdorfer- strasse/Spitalgasse". From there it is only 5 minute walking.

From the east:

Take tram line "D" as far as Schottentor, from there it is one stop with any of the tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42 ("Schwarzspanierstraße"), then 5 minutes walking.

Vienna Airport Lines (Bus) See more

As far as "Westbahnhof", there change to tram line number 5/33 to "Nussdorferstrasse/Spitalgasse". From there it is only 5 minutes walking.

CAT – City Airport Train (16 minutes into town) See more

Take the CAT as far as Landstrasse/Vienna Mitte, change to Underground line U4 in the direction of Heiligenstadt. Get off at Friedensbrücke, change to tram line number 5/33 to "Nussdorferstrasse/Spitalgasse". From there it is only 5 minute walking.

Please send us your flight number, arrival time and departure airport. The driver will be waiting for you at Arrivals and will bring you straight to the Hotel Boltzmann.
